RACE BIBS AND SOLIDARITY
For 2011, we guarantee one place (with a limit of a maximum of 50 places) to any runner who, directly or through a donor of his choice, donates 2000 € to one of the associations which we support.
The process will be as follows:
- The donor will pay the chosen association 2000€ to reserve a place in the race of his/her choice and will send to info@ultratrailmb.com the address and phone number of the runner, the chosen race, and the association that we support.
- The charitable association will inform the Ultra-Trail by mail of the donation given and the runner’s name and date of birth.
- The runner may then join his chosen race, so long as he has the necessary qualifying points.
The donations must be given by June 30th, 2011 at the latest. The donor may on no account reclaim any part of his donation. As from the moment that the runner is registered, he is subject to the same race regulations as the other runners including the cancellation of his registration. He will be reimbursed a variable amount according to the date of cancellation (see the race regulations). He can however leave his the place with another runner who will then have to register.

Emotion at all levels
Here are the answers to a multitude of questions: "Why do we run? " ; "Why do we organise a race? " ; "Why do we train for months and months to complete some tens of kilometres in the mountains? " ; «Why do we mobilize hundreds of volunteers' in trying to turnout the greatest party possible? «Because, we want some emotion. Not the fleeting emotion of cinemas, which makes us shed three tears and which we immediately forget, No, the emotion which changes us, which makes us better, is that which advances us in existence. Ultra, it is the school of emotion, the emotion of expectation, the emotion of bodies which build themselves up over the course of months, The emotion of close relations, who adhere to our passions, the emotion of the starting line, the emotion of the actual race, The emotion of the objectives achieved, and that of failure, sometimes … at all levels, it is there, and not always as we had hoped for But it is there. In 2010, the "race" stage was transformed into disappointment for many of you. Not all. In 2011, we shall still have no power to stop storms, but The North Face® Ultra-Trail of Mont Blanc® will continue to implement everything it can to help you to climb all the levels one by one. |

UTMB® - [Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc®] the original and queen of the races
Since the first year, it has been called “the race of all the superlatives” A complete tour of the Mont Blanc Massif, passing through 3 countries: France, Switzerland and Italy, the race that every runner should finish at least once in their life.
 |

The CCC® is considered by many runners to be « the little one » nevertheless it too, constitutes one of the most difficult challenges in ultra - trail. Do not take the CCC® lightly; more than one runner has "burned" their thighs there.

TDS [sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie] - the wild alternative
Wilder and more technical than the UTMB® and the CCC®, in the heart of the Aosta valley and the two Savoie, this demanding race offers a new vision of the tour of Mont Blanc and the Beaufortain country. The 2011 route will allow the discovery of the col de la Youlaz (2,661m) above Courmayeur, the "passage du Curé" or the sublime view of the massif of Mont Blanc from the col de la Gitte in the heart of Beaufortain.
 |
A semi-tour of Mont-Blanc starting from Courmayeur with 109km, 7,100 metres of positive height gain and in semi-autonomy.

PTL - [la Petite Trotte à Léon] - A great team adventure
A hallucinatory and non competitive event! A "grand" tour of Mont Blanc adding high passes, often higher than 2,500 metres and with some delicate passages. If you like solitude, solidarity and total adventure, that is the reason for trying it once.
