CCC® [Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix] : 3 countries - 100km and 5,950m of positive height gain in semi-autonomy - 25:00 max - 1,800 runners at the start
TDSTM [sur les Traces des Ducs de Savoie] : 3 countries - 112km and 7,150m positive height gain in semi-autonomy - 32:00 max - 1,400 runners at the start
PTLTM [la Petite Trotte à Léon]: 3 countries - 290km and 22,000m positive height gain in total autonomy.

Even longer! And more tiring… A true adventure!
2 km more for the UTMB®! In fact the distance of the race has not changed; the distance has just been recalculated! It is not much, but it still merits an explanation! The re-evaluation of the distances and the height gain gives more precision about the route and therefore better preparation. In addition you can find the results of the first studies on fatigue. New supplementary studies on the physical and physiological consequences of this practice are launched this year, within the framework of the UTMB®. The North Face® Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc® races are a true research laboratory!

The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® races, take place in the mountains, at altitudes that fluctuate between 1000 and 2600m. Throughout the last 9 years, the organisation has adapted itself and set up a comprehensive prevention plan by outlining the procedures to follow and by developing the list of the obligatory equipment to that which is indispensable in the mountains. The weather conditions of 2010 and 2011 reinforced the decisions taken by the race directors. First or last, strong or not so strong, each must know how to run safely and be able to wait for help.

Whether it is the level of the number of requests, the number of nationalities or regrettably the number of people unable to register (each race has a quota for the number of participants). A worldwide success which confirms that the The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® is the world trailing event!

10 000 requests from 75 countries!
The 10th event, all the records have been beaten!
The 4 events are more than complete with 5100 requests for the UTMB®, 3600 for the CCC®, 1100 for the TDS® and the PTL® is almost fully subscribed. The participation is increasingly international with 75 countries represented and 44% of the requests for places coming from « non-French » runners (40% in 2011, 38% in 2010).

Next year’s The North Face® Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® will be the 10th! 10 times already! 10 years of enjoyment, adventures, results, delight, questions and effort, happiness and emotion.The organisation is preparing an exceptional party for this tenth year which will be at the measure of this event which has become that of all the superlatives. A big party for the loyal volunteers, always more and more numerous, and for the trail itself which goes rather well.A festival of images with retrospective photos and videos which promise both laughter and tears (of joy!).
